ARE YOU DOING IT?
MATTHEW 17:1-9 “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James and John his brother and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart and was transfigured before them: And His face did shine as the sun, and his raiment (clothes) was white as the light, and behold there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. (Moses departed into the mountain and was not seen again, Elias was removed in a whirlwind in a chariot and was not seen again.) Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles: one for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. (Once again Peter has spoken wrongly) While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore (greatly) afraid and Jesus came and touched them, and said, arise and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man save (except) Jesus only. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged (commanded) them, saying, tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.”(KJV) (after that you not only can, but I want you to tell of it.) And Peter, James and his brother John did as Jesus said, and told nobody what they had seen. But after Jesus died and rose again they were free to tell anyone about the vision in the mountain. How that the voice they heard identified that Jesus was the Son of God. This message has been carried down through the years to now. Peter, James and John are long gone but the message that they told the people is still as strong today as back then. Today we as Christians are to continue to spread the News that Jesus is the Son of God, He is risen and is coming back one day for His believers. We are not to just know it and say nothing. We are to tell of Jesus and rejoice in His coming. Have you told anyone, are you doing it? Just Thought I’d Ask
