MARK 10:13-15 “And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.”(KJV) Jesus was explaining to them that a child believes what we tell them with blind faith, believing what we say is true with no doubts or questions. In this day and age people are told that there are many ways to get to heaven and if they are told in convincing ways they believe what they are told even if it is entirely wrong. It seems that in all the ways they are taught it is something they must do to get to heaven. These methods are called “works salvation”. And all are left to what a person does and leaves God out of the picture. Things like: join a certain church and you will go to heaven, you must be baptized in a certain church to go to heaven, you must put some time into promoting a church or it’s doctrine to go to heaven, the list goes on and all doing what you can do but not saying one word about what Jesus did. Jesus said in JOHN 14:6 “...I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”(KJV) In JOHN 10:9 “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture.”(KJV) These are just two Scriptures that indicate that it is in and thru Jesus Christ and Him only can one enter into the Kingdom of God. Many have been taught these other ways which leave God out. But as we see in our Bible it is believing on Jesus Christ as our Savior and having faith in what the Bible says, blind like faith, we can be saved and have eternal life. It can only come in and through believing in Jesus Christ and repenting of our sins. JOHN 3:16 very plainly states how God provided a way of salvation to any and all who repents and believes God’s Word, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”(KJV) Jesus is the only way, we must come to Him in child like faith believing and receive everlasting life.
