PSALM 27:14 "Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." (KJV)
Patience is a virtue saith the Lord.
Everybody today is in such a big hurry. They want to get everything done yesterday and do not want to wait for anything. To them everything just takes to long.
When a person prays they expect an immediate answer to their prayer as if God is moving too slow for their answer.
We are instructed in PSALM 27:14 "to wait on the Lord."(KJV)
We must remember that He is God and we are not. He is not required to answer your prayer immediately.
His answer to your prayer will come in His time, and His time is the perfect time for your answer. So don't rush Him, just wait on the Lord.
ISAIAH 25:9 "And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God: we have waited for Him, and He will save us: This is the Lord: we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."(KJV) Some people try to rush His coming because He said over 2000 years age that He would come again, but He hasn't come so they either deny that He will come or they rush His return.
JOHN 14:3 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself: that whece I am, there you may be also."(KJV) Now that He hasn't come yet does not negate the fact that He is coming. He hasn't broken His Word, He is coming.
Be patient and wait on the Lord.
There is no doubt that if He would come today that among believers there would be rejoicing. But God is longsuffering. He knows that there are still some others who will believe in Him, confess and repent and be saved. We don't know who they are, but He does. He doesn't want to leave any believers behind when He comes.
So even we would be glad for Him to come today and remove us from this sin filled adultrous world.
He knows the exact time when He will come and it will be in His perfect timing, so don't rush Him while you wait patiently for His coming.
PSALM 130:5 " I wait for thee Lord, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope."(KJV) Remember that those in the Old Testament waited for the Massiah to come and they waited 4000 years, but He did come. Now we wait for Jesus to come again and it has been just over 2000 years, but He is coming.
Don't be frustrated in waiting, be patient, don't rush. He is coming.
