SOMETIMES GOD ALLOWS A PROBLEM
11 CORINTHIANS 12: 7-9 "And lest I should be exalted above measure, through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me, a thorn, in the flesh, the messenger of Satan, to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee. For my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me."(KJV)
There are times in our life when we have happen to us something that we would rather not happen.
While we are attempting to rid ourselves of this problem, we finally realize that we in our own power are unable to clear it up. Now, shamefully, we finally start praying that God would intervene for us to remove this problem that is causing us so much trouble. Our answer to our problem is the same as Paul's answer for his prayer.
He prayed three times for his problem to be removed and his answer was " My grace is sufficient for thee". Simply means if you believe and trust in God, as you should, you will be able to overcome your problem by faith.
Sometimes God allows (but does not actually cause it) a problem to enter into your life (not to make you unhappy, but to test you and your faith in Him).
So before you let something overcome you and be upset with the problem, just think that it might just be God testing you and your faith and with the testing give you enough grace to get through it.
By this testing He also shows you that once He gets you through one situation and you by faith are improved you will by faith realize that He will also get you through other situations as well.
So Paul learned from his thorn in the flesh that his faith would increase by grace from God. You will also learn that as God brings you through one trial after another that you can always trust that God will never let a trial in your life be more than you can handle through faith in Him.
The more you put your faith in God to help you, the stronger your faith will be.
So before you let something overcome you, trust God to get you though.
Have you tried it?
