THERE ARE THINGS THAT GOD WANTS FOR YOU
HEBREWS 6:9-20 "But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, butfollowers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself. Saying, surly blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: an for confirmation is to them and end of all strife.Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heir of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath. that by two , in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil. Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even JESUS, made a high priest forever after the order on Melchisedic."(KJV) As we see noted in verse 9, there are better things for you, and these things accompany salvation. These are the things that God wants for you to have once you have trusted Him as your Savior. He wants you to be happy on Earth and Salvation and it's spiritual blessings come after you leave the Earth. So He tells in verse 12 not to be slothful, but followers of them who faith and patience inherit the promises. Those promises God has made to you, your sins forgiven, your everlasting life with Him in heaven. In verse 13 says when God swears by Himself, He cannot swear by any greater. In verse 14 blessing I will bless thee and multiplying I will multiply thee. In verse 15 we find that the promise to Abraham was fulfilled as promised. In verse 18 we find that it is impossible for God to lie, so we know that all God's Word is true. In verse 19 and 20 we find that God's promise of the hope we look forward to will really come to pass. Just as we look over the scriptures Hebrews 6:9-20 we can see that that it is very worthy to be a Born Again Christian, Child of God, recipient of all God's promises Have You been Born Again?
