HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT
11 CORINTHIANS 12:7-9 "And lest I (Paul) should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: For my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, (weaknesses) that the power of Christ may rest upon me."(KJV)
Sometimes a person might get a "big head" or a time of bragging about their accomplishments to the point that it could get out of hand. This bragging then becomes sin to you and offensive to God.
It might be that God will see that something will come about in your life that is difficult for you to manage. This could be your thorn in the flesh.
Since this thing causes you distress you then reach out to God to take it away, in our scripture Paul asked God three times to remove the thorn in his flesh. But instead of having it removed He was given an answer he did not expect, God said "My grace is sufficient for thee."
He was telling that His grace will help him overcome his thorn in the flesh. This then made him reply: I would rather glory in my infirmities (Put up with my problems) that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
No matter what comes your way that interrupts your day that may not be pleasant to you it just might be that the Lord is putting that in your life to get you back on track in following Him.
In this case don't pray for it to be removed, but pray for God's grace to help you through. If you really want God's grace He will supply it for you to handle whatever comes your way.
