MATTHEW 5: 13-16 “ Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world a city that is set on an hill cannot be hid neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick and it giveth light to all that are in the house let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven.”(KJV)

Those folks who have not heard and accepted the Word of God and are not saved, the Bible says they are walking in darkness in need of salvation.

Others who have heard the Word of God and have accepted it and received salvation are the are the ones this scripture is referring too.

Ye are the light of the world, You should not be hidden like a candle under a bushel. You should shine. Now I know that you will not glow like a light of a candle but you should be different than those walking in darkness

We are told that “the redeemed of the Lord should say so.”This means that we should not be ashamed of the Word of God. but that we should do our best to share it with others. Be the light of this world to them.

We should refuse to go along with those who want us to skip church, and should not refuse to tell them why.

Let them see what a true Christian is like by your actions. Not only in church but out in public. not to show off, but just by the things you will do and the things that you will not do. By setting an example in your prayer life, by reading your Bible, by your attendance at church when they want you to go somewhere else. By showing others the right way about something by doing the right thing. by helping others when other people would turn them down.

And above all, tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how they can be blessed as well.

Live your live before others as you know the Lord would have you to do, as you glorify the Lord each day.

By doing so you could cause them to want to have the blessings of salvation that you are showing them in your own life.

Do not walk in darkness as they do, but be a spiritual light to them in your life.
