PROVERBS 27:19 “As in water face answereth face, to the heart of man to man.”(KJV)

This Proverb is telling us that the water reflects the face as a mirror reflects the face. You cannot deny what the mirror or the water reflects, they can only reflect the image that is there. No matter how much you want the image to be different it will always reflect only what is there. Make-up will alter the image but the image will only be as a reflection of what is there.

The heart of man will show up in his ways.

Whatever the situation is a man will always react toward something a certain way. His actions are noticed by others. He can try to put on a different reflection to a certain thing, just as make-up to the face shows a different reflection but in reality the man’s reaction to something is still his way just as the face with make-up in the mirror only covers up the real face under the make-up

You are who you are under all the ways you try to be different, underneath you are still the same and your heart is still the same.

If you are a Christian it should be obvious that you are a Christian. You should not try to look like one by covering up what you really are.

When people see you they should be able to identify you as a Christian because your reflection will be Christlike. Where you go or don’t go, what you do or don’t do, how you show your love for Christ in your life by showing it to others, or don’t.

Your life, looks and attitude will reflect who you are, just as the water and the mirror do.

Be sure that your life reflects that the Lord has saved you, that the Lord is within you. Remember you cannot change your reflection, you are what you are.

If others see you what reflection do they see, one who is trying to look like a Christian or one who is really a Christian?

What reflection do they see?
