On October 8th, 2025, a group of girls involved in HOSA had the opportunity to travel to Yankton for Scrubs Camp. When they arrived, they checked in at 8:30, where they received the agenda for the day. After they knew what they were doing, they went to many breakout sessions.
At these sessions, students learned about many different jobs in the healthcare field. After the breakout sessions, they went to lunch, where they enjoyed nachos. After lunch, the girls went to a career fair. At this career fair, they learned about all of the colleges that would be able to get them into the healthcare field that they wanted to go into.
After they went to the career fair, they were able to attend many more breakout sessions. Finally, following the other breakout sessions, the girls went to the closing, where there were many door prizes given out. Unfortunately, none of the Avon HOSA members were chosen. One of the many activities that they participated in, the one students enjoyed the most was learning how to draw blood and how to find the correct veins to take blood.
