With all nine wrestlers placing, the Bon Homme/ Scotland/Avon girls won the Floyd Farrand Girls Invitational at Sioux Falls Lincoln on December 30. There were 24 teams participating. Peyton Hellmann-145 and Ashley Tolsma-152 won their weight classes, Britney Rueb-126 and Hope Kemnitz-185 finished second, Hadlee Kracht-132 was third, Jasmine Ruelas-Hertz-114 was fourth, Sydney Johnson-100 and Bailey Kemnitz-138 were fifth, and Harper Kracht-120 placed seventh. Harper Kracht-120 won by fall in 1:41 over Nika Rasmussen (Lennox), lost by fall in :37 to second-rated Finley Evjen (Canton), won by fall in 2:15 over Ragan Peacock (Harrisburg), lost by fall in 1:56 to fifth-rated Lilly Toft (Brookings), and won in sudden victory overtime 10-7 over Sage Hill (Canton). BHSA took the team title with 179.5 points, followed closely by Lakota Tech-175, Watertown-152.5, Canton-124, Viborg-Hurley/Iene-Wakonda-117, Brandon Valley-99, Sioux Falls Jefferson-84.5, Sioux Falls Washington-56, Sisseton-54.5, and Sully Buttes-52 to round out the top ten of the 24 teams. Coach Comments: It took all nine girls to medal to win this tournament. We had 25 pins (bonus points) helping the cause. Coach Hellmann and I are very proud of all of them. All of us are hoping for the best for Britney in her recovery from her knee injury
