PSALM 49:16-19 “ Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased: For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: His glory shall not descend after him. Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; They shall never see light.”(KJV)
LUKE 12:19,20 “And I will say to my soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years: take thee ease, eat, drink and be merry. But God said unto him, thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall these things be, which thou hast provided?”(KJV)
MATTHEW 6:21 “For where your treasure is , there will your heart be also.”(KJV)
Today people are trying to acquire things. The more they have the more they strive to have more, especially money. They will work all their life to be able to have a house, not just a house, but a big house in the neighborhood and a car, not just a car, but the newest big car to drive around in to advertise how great they are and a bank account, but not just a bank account, but the largest bank account in the local bank.
But our scripture states there will come a day when they will pass away and all those things that he thought would make him prosperous, he will not be able to take them with him. He will leave them behind for others. And in a not to far future he will not even be remembered in his neighborhood.
The Bible tells us that” where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”(KJV)
To spend all your life for things that you will leave behind is foolish, lost treasures.
But if you would spend the same time in serving the Lord building treasures in heaven that will always be there, your heart will be in the right place.
For your heart to be right with God you should follow: MATTHEW 6:31-33 “Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek.) For your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”(KJV)
Trust and believe the Lord and He will satisfy your needs and give you unbelievable happiness in this life and the life to come.
Do you believe He will?
