The Junior Legion lost 8-4 to Tripp. Bob Sattler was on the mound. Bob Oorlog had two singles and Mike Oorlog had a triple and a single.
Charmaine Muller and Larry Pelton are engaged. Funeral services for William Seiling, age 74, were held at the First Presbyterian Church.

Professor C.A. Larson has been hired to superintend the Avon School for the next school year.
All the rural schools are closed for the year. The Avon Tennis Champs defeated Tyndall on Friday. Funeral services for Albert Crosby were held at the Pres. Church. He was 51 years old.
