JUNIOR LEADERS SPOTLIGHT

The Charles Mix County 4-H Junior Leaders Club Treasurer for the 2025-2026 season is Catie Payer. Catie is the daughter of Clay and Traci Payer and resides in Wagner. Catie has been a part of 4-H for two years and she is 10 years old.

Catie’s wanted to become Treasurer from her admiration for the sense of community 4-H brings her and wishes to be closer with her group. With this appreciation she hopes to design a new group shirt and have the Junior Leaders do more work within the community. Catie also participates in numerous 4-H activities and Shooting Sports to stay connected to her fellow 4-Hers.

Over the first two years, Catie has learned great new skills to bring with her throughout life. From her ex-periences in 4-H, she’s gained the confidence to speak in public. This has allowed her to gain more confidence in other aspects, and she has become more comfortable and confident around new people. She admires gaining these skills because it helps her learn how to look at things from different point of views. Catie’s favorite memory from her time in 4-H was participating at the North Pole at North Point.
