It was a busy but successful week for the Bon Homme/ Scotland/Avon girls wrestling teamastheywererunner-upat BattleCreek(January20),third at Pierre (January 24), and first at Chamberlain (January 25).

Battle Creek Tournament With three champions, BHSA fell short by four points to host Battle Creek. Sydney Johnson-100JV, Hadlee Kracht-125, and Peyton Hellmann- 135tookindividualtitles withJasmineRuelas-Hertz-115 and Hope Kemnitz-190 both second. HarperKracht-120was third and Ashley Tolsma-155 placed fourth.

Sydney Johnson-100JV had a bye, won by fall over Jaylee Strand (Canton) in 2:36, and in the championship won by fall over McKenna Kettwig (Canton) in 1:25 for first.

River City Rumble in Chamberlain Tournament BHSA defended their title with six in the finals (four champions) scoring 160.5 points. Comments: Placing second, third, and first in three tournaments made for a fun week. But it didn't come easy; the girls worked hard. Thank you to the parents, grandparents, and fans for their support. Next competition will be the tournament in Aberdeen on February 1.
