Avon hosted Scotland/Menno Friday night where they took the win 58-20. The Pirates started off slow as the 1st quarter ended with a score of 16-14 as Aziah Meyer had a 96 yard run with Al'Shamon Gunter adding the 2-point conversion, and Meyer added a 51 yard touchdown run and 2-point conversion. The second quarter again found Meyer with a 55 yard touchdown run (Trent Soukup completed the 2-point conversion), a 52 yard run and a 3-yard run (Dominic Doom ran in the 2-point conversion) to end the first half 38-20. The third quarter found the Pirates in the end zone again with Meyer completing a 52- yard run (Trent Soukup ran in the 2-point conversion) and Al'Shamon Gunter with the 39 yard pass from Easton Sees. The fourth quarter again had Meyer score with the 17 yard run to end the game 58-20. Meyer rushed for 383 yardsfor 7 touchdowns on the night, Landon Mudder had 59 yards, Sees had 22 yards, Soukup had 15 and Brenson Ratzlaff had 2 yards. On the defense, Soukup had 5 tackles and 1 assist, Gunter and 5 tackles, 1 assist and 1 sack, Kahle Hill had 5 tackles and 2 assists, Meyer had 4 tackles and 3 assists, Mudder had 4 tackles and 4 assists, Doom had 2 tackles, 3 assists and 1 sack, Weston Bierema had 2 tackles and 1 assist, Grayson Ratzlaff had 2 tackles, Lance Odens had 1 tackle and 3 assists, Randall Powers had 1 tackle and 2 assists, Treyvan Talsma had 1 tackle, 1 assist and 1 sack. Meyer captured 1 interception for the night and Grayson Ratzlaff caused 2 fumbles on the opponent. Congratulations on another great win Pirates.
