AJ Johnson
This week’s featured Andes Central senior is AJ Johnson. AJ is the son of Brian and Kathy John-son. AJ has four siblings Alex, Joey, Baylee and Claire. During his high school years, AJ has been active in National Honor Society, JAG, football, basketball and track. Gordon Hooks is AJ’s fa-vorite teacher and his favorite class is Language Arts with Ms. Abby.
AJ’s advice to underclassmen would be, “Time flies so do your work.” The most memorable moment for AJ while in high school was racing the boys down to lunch to be the first to get four chicken nuggets. Not only is Mr. Hooks AJ’s favorite teacher, but he is also one of the most inspiring people in AJ’s life. Coach Hooks is always pushing AJ to be the best of his abilities.
Even though AJ is looking forward to being able to start his own life after graduation, he is go-ing to miss getting to see everyone every day. AJ is most proud of the work ethic that he has built. After graduation, he plans to attend Mitchell Technical College for Architectural Design and Building Construction. In ten years, AJ sees himself owning his own construction business.
