Greer Post #11 American Legion met Dec. 19, 2019 with 15 members present and 1 guest. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. The opening prayer was read by Margie Stone and all recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the Auxiliary Preamble. The minutes were read and approved. Thank you’s were given for the decorating at the Post float for the Parade of Lights held on December

13. Barb Clemens and President Juanita Stone helped with this and rode the float at the front of the parade. Thank you’s also to Linda Youngbluth for sending Christmas Cards out to the Veterans for the holidays. The Treasurer’s report was given and approved also. No bills at this time. Thank you’s were given for salads and desserts brought for the meal that evening. Unfinished Business – Motion was made by Barb Wiechman and seconded to pay on an entrance fee.

Our District President Jan Coleman gave her report from the meeting. Very informative. Membership report 71 paid out of 78 members. Business: The Midwinter Conference will be held in Oacoma on February 21-23. We also discussed some of our upcoming projects for the coming months. More business: meeting closed with prayer by Margie Stone at 8:40 p.m.
