AC/DC brought 15 athletes over to the State Track Meet held at Howard Wood in Sioux Falls, May 29-31st. Several athletes competed in multiple events across Sabas DeHaan truly shined this last weekend as surpassed his previous records of 23.12 in the 200M dash and 51.01 in the 400M dash. At state he placed both 2nd 400M dash with a new personal record of 50.66 and 7th in 200M dash at 22.89.

AJ Johnson ranked #3 in shot put for Class B with his record being 49'11/2' and placed 4th at state with a distance of 47'10'. He also participated in discus coming in at 10th with a record of 144'10' and finished 12th with a distance of 132'. Jamian Medicine Horn competed in both the long jump and triple jump. He maintained his ranking of 8th in Class B but passed his previous record at 20' 63/4' with 20' 8¼'. He finished in the triple jump at 7th with a jump of 40'51/4'. Josie Brouwer competed in both the 300M hurdles and the 200M dash. She came in at 7th in the 300M hurdles with a time of 47.56 and 16th in the 200M dash at 26.80. She finished 9th in hurdles with a time of 48.13 and climbed up to 11th in the 200M dash with a time of 26.90.

The girls 4x100 and 4x200 relay members were Josie Brouwer, Leah Brown, Cambria Ronfeldt and Lilly Niewenhuis. They came to state with placements of 22nd and a time of 53:65 for the 4x100 and 23rd in the 4x200 with a time of 1:53.37. They finished by placing 16th in both relays.

The boys 4x200 relay members, AJ Johnson, Sabas DeHaan, Luke Dangel and Kashton Garcia came in placed at 24th with a time of 1:36.61 in Class B. The boys 4x400 relay members were Sabas DeHaan, Jamian Medicine Horn, Hunter Loeffler and Luke Dangel. They came to state in 21st with a time of 3:41.17 for Class B.

The boys medley relay consisting of AJ Johnson, Sabas DeHaan, Jamian Medicine Horn and Hunter Loeffler, came in with a placement of 19th with a time of 3:51.49. They finished at 13th with a time of 3:51.14.
